St. Johns County has approved a 3% reduction in water and wastewater customer usage provided by the utility department. The rates will go into effect on July 1, 2023, and around 90% of water customers may see a decrease in their monthly bill as a result. In 2022, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners approved the creation of one consolidated utility for long-term financial success. Additionally, residential customers in the Ponte Vedra area who use 20,000 gallons or more of water could see an increase in their monthly bill, including water for home use and outdoor irrigation without implementing irrigation schedules.
