FWC Officer Accused of Possessing Child Pornography in St. Johns County

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer, William Lee Lawshe, has been charged with three counts of child porn possession in St. Johns County after a cyber-tip was received by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Lawshe confirmed that the phone from the tip was his and that it was in his control when the abuse material was uploaded. “Residents of Summer Haven Area Seek Solutions to Preserve Community”

An engineering study has been conducted to find solutions to beach erosion and maintain the Summer Haven River in St. Johns County, Florida, following a nor’easter in 2021 that created a new inlet. The final reports are expected to be presented to the St. Johns County Commission in the next few months. The study will look at solutions such as sea walls, dune restoration, or abandoning shoreline development. The county has spent over $10 million since 2008 addressing erosion issues in the area.
