The suspects allegedly tried to run over a St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputy and rammed multiple patrol vehicles in an attempt to evade the police. The suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to face charges related to the shoplifting incident and the pursuit. The investigation is ongoing. A married couple and their dog were aboard a small plane that crashed in St. Augustine, Florida, after struggling to gain elevation during takeoff. The woman has burns to her feet, and the pilot has burns to 45% of his body. The couple’s dog died from injuries sustained in the crash. A bystander who witnessed the rescue attempt said the pilot was seriously injured before encountering the flames and had to jump into the fire.
