Local liquors from St. Augustine will be featured in a culinary event called “Flavors of Florida” at Disney Springs starting from July 1 through August 13. Two local liquor brands – Florida cane vodka and St. Augustine gin – will be used in cocktails served at various locations within Disney Springs. St. Johns County to Receive Reduced Water Usage Rates in July

St. Johns County has approved a 3% reduction in water and wastewater customer usage provided by the utility department. The rates will go into effect on July 1, 2023, and around 90% of water customers may see a decrease in their monthly bill as a result. In 2022, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners approved the creation of one consolidated utility for long-term financial success. Bloody Mose: A Clash of Epic Proportions in 2023

On June 24, 2023, the Fort Mose Historical Society and local militia will reenact the Battle of Bloody Mose, which occurred in St. Augustine in 1740 between Spanish and British forces. Visitors can witness how the people of Fort Mose and St. Augustine became players in the conflict that involved African-descended people and indigenous Floridians. Tristyn Bailey’s Legacy Lives on Through Memorial Golf Tournament

The first Tristyn Bailey Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for November 6 at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club. The event is being organized in memory of Tristyn, a 13-year-old cheerleader, who was murdered on Mother’s Day in 2021. The tournament will include fun events such as a pole vault competition and silent auction.
