The United States Golf Association decided to relocate the Hall of Fame to its original location in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Hall of Fame, which was founded in Pinehurst in 1974 and moved to St. Augustine in 1998, is situated in the World Golf Village resort community. Two young men from St. Johns County have been indicted in connection with the shooting death of a man in downtown Jacksonville in May. 19-year-old Ryan Nichols has been charged with first-degree murder, while 18-year-old Daniel DeGuardia has been charged with accessory after the fact.
