The Florida Department of Transportation is working on a $4 million drainage improvement plan to stop or slow flooding near the Bridge of Lions in downtown St. Augustine. The project includes replacing an older drainpipe with a 5-foot-wide one, adding a masonry wall, sidewalk, and bike path. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2023, and a community meeting will be held on April 18 for residents to learn more about the project.
