St. Johns County Hosts Sustainability Workshops for Earth Week

The City of St. Augustine is hosting free sustainability workshops on April 18th at the Galimore Center. The workshops will cover topics such as sustainability initiatives, water conservation, and composting. In addition, the city will hold a recycling event on April 21st where residents can dispose of outdated or broken electronics, shred documents, and recycle used cooking oil. The event will not accept hazardous waste, motor oil, or TVs. Throughout the year, the city accepts recyclable materials during regular business hours. Mother of Aiden Fucci to Stand Trial for Allegedly Tampering with Evidence by Washing Blood-Stained Jeans

Crystal Lane Smith, the mother of convicted teen killer Aiden Fucci, will stand trial later this month for allegedly tampering with evidence in the murder of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey. Smith is accused of washing her son’s blood-soaked jeans after he stabbed Bailey 114 times in May 2021. The trial is set to begin on April 17 and could last until April 28. Fucci was sentenced to life in prison with a sentence review after 25 years on March 24.
