Tragic Accident Claims a Life on State Road 206 in St. Johns County

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on State Road 206 at South Walk Place on Tuesday night. According to the crash report, a pickup truck was following an SUV traveling westbound on SR 206 when the truck collided with the back of the SUV. As a result, the pickup truck went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, while the SUV stopped on the north grassy shoulder. St. Johns County Fire Rescue is reminding beachgoers to protect themselves from the sun and stay hydrated to avoid heat stroke. Tips include drinking plenty of fluids (without alcohol), using sunscreen and reapplying it after swimming, wearing protective clothing and sunglasses, avoiding the intense midday sun, and using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 15. Those spending extended periods in the sun should use a layered approach to protect themselves. Police still searching for Suspect who Triggered Fireworks in St. Augustine Theater

Two teenagers were arrested and a third suspect is being looked for after they set off fireworks inside a St. Augustine movie theater over the weekend. The incident occurred during the debut weekend of a popular children’s movie, causing panic among those in attendance. The sheriff’s office responded to multiple reports of explosions and found minor damage to the theater. No one was injured in the incident. St. Augustine Albino Gator Bids Farewell to 3 Teeth Due to Jaw Deformity

An albino alligator named Mr. Bones residing in the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park has been experiencing dental issues due to a chronic jaw malformation. Dr. Bridget Walker from the University of Florida’s Zoological Medicine program performed a procedure on Mr. Bones to pull out three of his front teeth and relieve the pressure on his jaw, allowing him to eat larger prey.
