Affordable Housing Community planned in St. Johns County Neighborhood

Ability Housing has announced plans for a new affordable housing community in St. Johns County called Villages of New Augustine. The new community will have 92 units for working families and will be located in West Augustine. The development is planned to include a community center, outdoor recreational features, and 149 parking spaces. Ability Housing secured funding through various state, local, and private sources, including a $460,000 Affordable Housing Grant and a $1,207,134 award of American Rescue Plan Act funds from the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. The community will include one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, and nearly 80% of them will be available for residents earning 60% or less of the Area Median Income.
