Joy Andrews has been selected as the county administrator for St. Johns County by the Board of County Commissioners. The decision was made after interviews with four finalists and is pending board approval. Andrews has been serving as interim county administrator since July and has been with the county for 17 years. She has led various departments and holds a Master of Public Administration from Kansas State University and an LL.B. from Nanjing University. The selection process was managed by the county’s Human Resources Department and involved public meetings, live video broadcasts, and a public engagement event. The selection committee unanimously recommended all five top-tier candidates, but one withdrew, leaving four for the board to consider. The selection process was assisted by GovHR USA, which provided a pool of 105 applicants.
