St. Augustine Man Convicted of Child Sexual Abuse After One-Day Trial

Jasper Oliver was found guilty by a St. Johns County jury on multiple counts of child sexual abuse following a one-day trial. The charges include two counts each of Sexual Battery on a Minor 12 to 18 by Person in Familial or Custodial Authority, Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor, and Soliciting a Child for Unlawful Sexual Conduct using Computer Services or Devices, as well as Transmission of Material Harmful to Minors by Electronic Device and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. The case was investigated by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and tried by Assistant State Attorneys Jennifer Lieb and Kaitlyn Payne. The sentencing is scheduled for February 9, 2024.
