The St. Johns County School Board in Florida has unanimously approved attendance zone changes for two new schools set to open next fall. The first school, known as “NN,” is a K-8 school in the Shearwater area, which will accommodate over 1,000 students from eight neighborhoods. School Bus Drivers, Other St. Johns County Support Staff to Receive Pay Increase

The St. Johns County School District has agreed to increase pay for school bus drivers, custodians, teacher aides, and other support staff. The collective bargaining agreement, approved by the school board, amounts to a $1.2 million compensation package. This means a minimum pay increase of $450 for staff with 13 years of experience or less, and about $500 more for those with 14 years of experience.
