A 16-year-old resident of St. Augustine tragically lost their life in a head-on collision that occurred on A1A at South Ponte Vedra and Beach Side Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The incident took place on Thursday around 4 p.m. A pickup truck traveling southbound was struck by the teenager’s northbound vehicle after it crossed the center line. Both the driver and a passenger, a 53-year-old man and woman from Jacksonville, sustained serious injuries in the crash. It is worth noting that all individuals involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts at the time.
