98-year-old St. Johns County man puts 4,000 miles on his ‘trike’ riding in his neighborhood

98-year-old Edmund Barron, a resident of St. Johns County, Florida, is known for socializing with his neighbors while riding his electric trike. Barron and his wife, Florence, moved to the area in August 2020 and are the oldest couple in their community. The couple, who have been married for 69 years, have five children, 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Barron, a World War II navy veteran, has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis but remains active, recently clocking 4,000 miles on his trike. Body of man who disappeared while kayaking found north of Vilano Beach, family says

The body of Eiffel Gilyana, a 46-year-old man who disappeared while kayaking near the St. Augustine inlet, has been found north of Vilano Beach, Florida. Gilyana was not wearing a life jacket when he went missing. The U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search after covering 341 square miles of ocean. However, Taskforce Hydro 1, a local veteran non-profit, continued the search. Gilyana was in an outrigger canoe when he disappeared. His body was found by local fishermen accounting to reports.
