SJSO: At 6:16pm SJSO deputies were dispatched to the area of North Volusia Street and West King Street in reference to a hit and run incident involving a 6 year old child who was struck by a vehicle. The child was rushed to the hospital, and tragically was pronounced deceased. The SJSO Traffic Unit has initiated a Traffic Homicide Investigation. The suspect vehicle has not been located at this time, no description is available. This is an active investigation, further updates will be provided as applicable.

The 904 Now has confirmed that an individual jumped off of the St. Augustine Lighthouse Saturday afternoon, and sustained life threatening injuries in what appears to be a suicide attempt. No further information is available at this time. The St. Augustine Lighthouse announced online that they will be closing the lighthouse and associated tours through the rest of the weekend.
Two Men Found Dead in Car Following Shooting in St. Augustine
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office in St. Augustine, Florida, is investigating a shooting incident after two men were found dead in a car on North Orange Street. The deputies responded to reports of gunshots around 11:30 p.m. on Monday. No suspects have been identified yet, but the authorities believe it was an isolated incident posing no threat to the community.
