7/12 Updated Statement from SJSO on deaths in St. Augustine Shores: “On July 11, 2022, The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident of two individuals deceased in their residence. A known friend of the family came by to drop off groceries and found a note from one of the individuals stating that they were deceased inside of the residence. Both of these individuals were elderly and suffered from severe medical issues. This was being investigated as a murder suicide and autopsy results confirmed those findings. Two found deceased in St. Augustine Shores home

In reference to today’s police presence in St. Augustine Shores, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has released the following: “Around 12:04pm today, we received a call in reference to two deceased individuals at a residence in St. Augustine Shores. SJSO’s Major Crime Unit responded and an investigation is underway. Updates will be provided as appropriate.” This appears to be an isolated incident, no cause for concern to the community

Police Investigating After It Appears Anti-Gay Slur Spray Painted On Garage May Have Lead To Shooting

Police are investigating after an individual was shot on Rosella Ct, in a subdivision off of Wildwood drive on Tuesday. Police have not yet discussed what correlation the spray pained garage may have had to the shooting.
