Bailey Family In Court As Fucci Public Defender Asks For More Time To Gather Evidence
Aiden Fucci, the St. Johns County teen accused of stabbing his 13-year-old classmate Tristyn Bailey, was back in court on Tuesday morning. His public defender said she’s still gathering testimonies from several witnesses, which she will need to gather out-of-court. There are between 70 and 80 sworn testimonies that she will need to collect. His attorney said on Tuesday that she’s already scheduled several of those for this month and for July. Fucci faces one count of first-degree murder in the death of his classmate, Tristyn Bailey. He has pleaded not guilty. The judge said he is still on track…

There was an officer involved shooting Sunday afternoon in front of Isabel Street and South Dixie Hwy. The individual who was shot is believed to be connected to the substance abuse treatment home in the area. It was believed by witnesses at the time that the suspect was armed with a gun, and was repeatedly asked to drop the weapon before allegedly charging at police, and being shot down. St. Augustine Police confirmed late Sunday night that the individual did have a gun when they arrived on scene, but later dropped the firearm, and armed himself with multiple knives. There…

St. Augustine Police, along with St. Johns County Sheriffs had a heavy presence between Arenta and Mackey Street Saturday afternoon as they searched for a wanted suspect who ditched his vehicle, and was hiding out in the area. At one point witnesses said they saw the man jump from out of a tree, and jump a fence behind a hame on Davis St.
