Fatal accident on A1A in St. Johns County results in two casualties.

Two men from Jacksonville were killed in a head-on collision on Ponte Vedra Boulevard (A1A) after their car crossed a double yellow line and crashed into a pick-up truck. The 57-year-old truck driver suffered minor injuries, while the 28-year-old female SUV driver sustained serious injuries. Both the driver and passenger in the car passed away at the accident site. Ponte Vedra Man to Repay Over $1.9M to IRS for Tax Evasion

Patrick Brian Hines, a man from Ponte Vedra, Florida, has been sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison and ordered to pay $1,927,077.90 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service for willful tax evasion. Hines used multiple nominee owners for a company he established in his wife’s name to evade and defeat the payment of income taxes and other obligations.
