A six-story, 105-room Hampton Inn & Suites is being planned on 3 acres at northeast Village Lake Drive and Town Plaza Drive in Nocatee, a master-planned community in Northern St. Johns and Southern Duval counties. The hotel will have a pool and is being developed by TC Development LLC, affiliated with the Davis family, founders of the Winn-Dixie grocery chain, who own the property and are working with The PARC Group, the Nocatee master developer. “Blessing of Fleet” event to take place in St. Augustine

The Blessing of the Fleet event will take place on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Sailor Statue on the southbank of the St. Johns River. Boaters are asked to arrive at 1:30 p.m. and tune to VHF channel 16 & 72. The event is presented by The Jacksonville Sail and Power Squadron. “New Road Project Aims to Address Flooding and Drainage Concerns in Downtown St. Augustine”

The Florida Department of Transportation is working on a $4 million drainage improvement plan to stop or slow flooding near the Bridge of Lions in downtown St. Augustine. The project includes replacing an older drainpipe with a 5-foot-wide one, adding a masonry wall, sidewalk, and bike path.
