The St. Augustine Police Department has identified a person of interest in a vehicle burglary and grand theft. The individual is believed to have followed a bank patron who had withdrawn a large amount of money from Wells Fargo Bank. The suspect then forcefully entered the trunk of the victim’s car and stole $25,000 cash that was in a bag. The police department is asking anyone who has had recent contact with the individual to contact the Criminal Investigations Division or email Detective Miller.
