Aiden Fucci, a 16-year-old boy, has been sentenced to life in prison for the first-
degree murder of his 13-year-old classmate, Tristyn Bailey, in St. Johns County, Florida. Fucci pleaded guilty to stabbing Bailey 114 times on Mother’s Day 2021. The victim’s family and friends asked for a life term in prison for Fucci, while his grandmother pleaded for a lighter sentence. As Fucci is a juvenile, he could be reviewed for a lighter sentence after serving 25 years of his life term. The case drew national attention to the wealthy county in Northeast Florida.
