The St. Johns County School District is proposing to increase school meal prices for students due to significant increases in food expenses and labor costs over the past two years. The proposed increases are $0.50 for breakfast, $0.45 for elementary school lunch, and $0.55 for middle and high school lunch. The school board must approve the increase before it goes into effect for the 2023-24 school year. The last time school meal prices were increased was in 2017.
