One person was rescued by St. Johns County Fire Rescue after being in distress in the water near the A Street beach access point in St. Augustine Beach, Florida. The other person was able to swim back to shore. The rescued swimmer was taken to Flagler Hospital and their condition is unknown. Witnesses reported that a man and a woman visiting from Michigan for spring break were involved in the incident, and it was emotional and traumatizing for onlookers.
