Nor’easter Ravages St. Johns County Dunes Amid Hurricane Recovery

A nor’easter caused erosion and damage to roads and homes in St. Johns County, Florida. The Florida Department of Transportation piled up sand to prevent further erosion on the sides of the road. The “blue house,” a home declared unsafe due to erosion, was also affected. The Army Corps of Engineers plans to renourish beaches in the area starting in late summer. St. Johns County Emergency Management is assessing the damage caused by the nor’easter.
