Last month, a tragic incident occurred where an 11-month-old baby drowned in a bathtub being bathed by their mother along with their 3-year-old sibling. The mother was tending to the older child when the baby made her way back into the bathtub. The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) reported that there had been a previous DCF investigation at the home within the last year, triggering a review by a DCF Critical Incident Rapid Response team. A barbershop in St. Augustine had to be gutted and renovated after a fire in December left the whole shop destroyed. The barbers were left without equipment and work during the holiday season, but thanks to fundraising efforts and local barbershops hiring out-of-work barbers, the King’s Chair Barber Club has reopened. The barbers now have new equipment and workstations, and the shop itself has a bigger workspace and new features. Tragedy strikes as young motorcyclist passes in St. Johns County crash.

A young biker passed away following a collision with an SUV on US-1. The driver of the SUV was attempting to make a left turn when the front of the motorcycle struck its left side. The police arrived on the scene with their flashing lights and sirens as they worked to secure the area.
