The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has started the mobilization process for the Vilano Beach Coastal Storm Risk Management Project. The project contractor will begin by bringing equipment to the Surfside Park staging area, which has been closed and fenced off for public safety. St. Johns County Fire Rescue recently attended to a house fire at a residence on Paisley Place located in the Julington Creek area. Though the extent of the damage has not been determined, the house suffered significant harm. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
