The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on State Road 206 at South Walk Place on Tuesday night. According to the crash report, a pickup truck was following an SUV traveling westbound on SR 206 when the truck collided with the back of the SUV. As a result, the pickup truck went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, while the SUV stopped on the north grassy shoulder. The pickup truck’s driver, a 72-year-old man from St. Augustine, was declared dead on the scene. The SUV’s driver, a 39-year-old woman from Palm Coast, is said to be cooperating with the authorities.
