BAD SANTA OPERATION: The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) Property Crimes Unit (PCU) Detectives, Deputies, and Intelligence Analysts recently conducted a proactive multi-week operation to combat Retail Theft, Organized Retail Theft, and other crime at numerous locations across St. Johns County. As a result of this operation 11 suspects were arrested, 10 charging affidavits were completed, 4 Juvenile Civil Citations were issued, and over $7,000 worth of stolen property was recovered. 10TH annual Clays for a Cause breaks fundraising records in support of local non profit organizations

  ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Florida (December 12, 2022) – The 10th Annual Clays for a Cause event, presented by St. Johns County homebuilder,MasterCraft Builder Group, was held on December 8, 2022 at Saltwaters Shooting Club in St. Augustine. SJSO confirms person of interest taking pictures of young girls around St. Augustine

SJSO: COMMUNITY UPDATE: The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous calls of concern regarding a suspicious Facebook page which is displaying photos of females at various retail and public locations around St. Augustine. The suspect appears to be following and recording the victims without their knowledge as they shop or dine; however, several of the victims noticed the suspect and were able to provide a very good description. Through the collection of video surveillance at these locations, the victim’s descriptions, and tips from the public, SJSO Detectives have identified a person of interest.
