The IMAX theater and World Golf Hall of Fame and Museum in St. Johns County are set to close on September 2nd. The World Golf Hall of Fame, which has been located in St. Augustine’s World Golf Village since 1998, will be relocated to Pinehurst, North Carolina. While some of the properties will remain under the ownership of the World Golf Foundation, St. Johns County will retain the properties housing the IMAX theater and the Hall of Fame. Anfernee Wilson Found Guilty in Double Murder of St. Augustine Couple
Anfernee Wilson has been found guilty on all charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, by a jury in a St. Johns County courtroom. The case involved Wilson being accused of shooting 16-year-old Sydnie Rounsville and 21-year-old Kyle Stein while they were inside a truck at the Florida Club condominiums. According to the arrest report, witnesses stated that on October 6, just before 6:30 p.m., they observed a black pickup truck speeding through the parking lot with a man chasing after it, holding a gun. A resident in Nocatee, St. Johns County, is facing the aftermath of a fire that destroyed her home after an electric car loaned to her by Mercedes Benz caught fire. Jennifer Ruotolo had brought home a 2023 Mercedes Benz EQE350+ while her personal car was undergoing servicing. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the vehicle, parked in the garage, suddenly caught fire. A new professional soccer franchise in Northeast Florida is making progress towards a $30 million training site in northwestern St. Johns County.
