Baptist Health is building a new emergency room and imaging center on the site of the former St. Augustine Outlet Mall in Florida. The facility will offer separate emergency services for adults and children and will be the only state-designated pediatric trauma center in Northeast Florida. The center will also provide X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, mammography, and bone density screenings. The project, which is being built on 8.5 acres, will cost $28.5 million and is expected to open in the spring of 2024. The hospital has also bought additional land for expansion.
