Florida Highway Patrol has announced the arrest of a suspect involved in a high-speed chase in Duval County after stealing a sedan from Flagler County.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office notified FHP about the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on I-95. The car was last sighted at mile marker 306 at 9:14 a.m. on Monday. Troopers located the stolen car near I-95 and Old St. Augustine Road and initiated a chase.
The suspect eventually crashed the car into a U-Haul truck on I-95 northbound near Bowden Road. Following a brief foot chase, the 18-year-old suspect was apprehended. The identity of the suspect is currently being confirmed.
