The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit in Florida has arrested two men, Jason Morris and Sterlie Mitchell, on suspicion of burglary and grand theft. The arrests followed an investigation into multiple burglaries at new homes still under construction. The St. Johns County School District is facing the challenge of reorganizing school zones to accommodate an increasing number of students. St. Johns County offers free sandbags as tropical storm approaches

St. Johns County in Florida is offering free sandbags to residents in preparation for the arrival of Tropical Storm Idalia. Starting at 12 p.m. on Monday, sandbags will be available at six different locations throughout the county. However, individuals are required to bring their own transportation and shovels, as well as fill the bags themselves. Each person is limited to a maximum of 20 bags.
